Detroit Pizza Workshop with Niki - $89 per person 

Over 75 years ago, Detroit Pizza became a Motor City sensation with its signature square shape and Sicilian inspired crust. Join Niki as we walk through all the components of this unique pizza from the thick and airy crust, the slightly sweet, cooked sauce and the crispy cheese edges that were achieved by baking the pizza in a steel automobile pan. Never fear though, we will be using modern pans to bake our pizza in but still achieving that iconic crispy bottom and cheesy frico-like edges. This class will be taught in our workshop format where each group of 2 will make all of the Detroit Pizza components and bake off a pizza to share. Each student will also take home an extra pizza dough and sauce to bake off the next day.
