Juniper Berries

Juniper Berries have a strong pine-like, citrusy, rosemary flavor and come from over 60 different species of Juniper shrubs. Found often in savory pickled dishes, Juniper can also be used in sausage, soups/stews, and sauces - just to name a few. The flavor of Juniper also makes it a wonderful addition to desserts, pastries, and cookies. The use of Juniper as a culinary flavoring can be traced all the way back to ancient Romans and ancient Egyptians.
