Annatto Seed

Coming from a tropical evergreen shrub in South America, Annatto seeds are mainly used for coloring, but do have a slightly peppery and earthy flavor. Sometimes referred to as Poor Man's Saffron, these seeds give off a beautiful reddish-orange color.
