Ice Cream Sandwiches with Lori Lynn's & Dave - $75 per person

Please welcome Lori, of the former popular food truck, Lori Lynn's Cookies & Cream to Gather! Lori and Dave will be teaming up to teach you a classic summer treat – Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches.  Lori will teach you how to make perfect high-altitude cookies that will stay soft in your ice cream sandwich, while Dave will teach you the basics of how to make a decadent custard-style ice cream. This is a hands-on class. This class is taught in our Workshop format – each group will make one type of cookie and one flavor of ice cream.

Meet Lori!

Lori Martin-McDowell opened Lori Lynn's Cookies and Cream, an ice cream sandwich truck, here in Colorado Springs in 2020, after years of dreaming of having her own bakery. She spent three successful seasons 'connecting people, cookies, and ice cream' (Lori Lynn’s motto) before deciding to quit while she was ahead (food trucking is no joke, and she was ready for a break) and jump back into her communications experience. Now, she serves a K-12 charter school, Atlas, running their communications and social media channels full-time.

Lori can’t stop baking and connecting with people, though. After she and her daughter took the Gather Food Studio tamale cooking class in the spring of 2024, she decided to share her famous cookie recipes with us and continue connecting with her Colorado Springs community by offering baking classes here at Gather Food Studio.
