Yemeni Sweet Hawaij, also known as (Hawaij for Coffee),is a spice blend used in applications like desserts, pastries, breads – even COFFEE. Sweet Hawaij is reminiscent of Indian Chai Masala, and may even remind you of the American “Pumpkin Pie Spice”! This is not a coincidence as the basic spice ingredients are consistent with Pumpkin Pie Spice (Ginger, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg) and can have other spices added to it like anise and mace.
