American Road Trip: Baja and SoCal with Dave
Who’s up for a Road Trip? In this class (which will repeat every month this year with a new region) is going to focus on a specific area of America and some of the classic American Culinaria that has come from that area. This month we'll be going down to the Baja Peninsula and Southern California and for some seafood, fresh flavors, and the origins of some of the more popular dishes in America today. After our bellies are full, next month we'll be headed up the PCH - where will we end up next? Come and join us - It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. If you get that reference, you definitely need to be in these classes! This is a hands-on class. This class is taught in our 2x4 format – we’ll split up into groups of 2 and each twosome will tackle one recipe.
On the menu:
- Baja Fish Tacos (did you know the Chinese were in on this?)
- Pulpo Quesadilla with Chile Tomato Salsa
- Cobb Salad & Ranch Dressing – (Both from SoCal)
- BBQ Chicken Pizza – yep, CPK got its start in Beverly Hills
