Know Your Ingredients: Sugar with Cortney – $75 per person

It’s our fourth month of Know Your Ingredients and this month we’re learning about another basic of all basics – SUGAR!  Would you like to learn more about the different types of sugar and when and how to use them? There is more to this everyday ingredient than you think!  In this class Cortney will teach you about where different sugars come from, what makes them different from each other and the best ways to use them. We’ll even be making both sweet and SAVORY to show you the diverse uses of sugar and covering traditional sugar replacements, like honey and agave.  Then we’ll split up into groups and make four amazing recipes. This is a hands-on class. This class is taught in our 2x4 format – we’ll split up into groups of 2 and each twosome will tackle one recipe.

  • Refined White Sugar & Brown Sugar: Caramel Apple Empanadas
  • Coconut Sugar: Massaman Curry
  • Raw Sugar: Crème Brulee French Toast
  • Honey: Honied Carrot & Pistachio Salad
