Back to Burma with Dave
Surrounded by China, India, and Thailand, Burma has become a crossroads for many types of cooking styles, ingredients and food ideology. Burmese cuisine encapsulates all the great parts of cuisines from the countries it borders, takes and turns them into wonderful new flavors that are far-reaching yet balanced. This is a hands-on class. This class is taught in our 2x4 format – we’ll split up into groups of 2 and each twosome will tackle one recipe.
On the menu:
- National Dish – Mohinga – Fish and Rice Noodle Soup
- Shan Tohu – Burmese Chickpea Tofu (soy-free) with Chili Ginger Sauce
- Si chet khao swe – Fried Garlic Oil Noodles
- Pork and Mango Pickle Stew
