Kids In The Kitchen 3-Day Cooking Camp (Ages 6-10): Sweet & Savory Summer Favorites

In this summer’s kids camp we’ll be featuring a kid friendly favorite every day!  We’ll take traditional recipes and make them in their savory form for lunch. Then we’ll give them a sweet twist and turn them all into dessert, too!  This is a hands-on class.

On the menu:

  • Day One: Pizza Day! Homemade Personal Pizzas & Sugar Cookie Fruit Pizzas
    • On our first day we’ll learn how to whip up our Gather 2-Ingredient Pizza Dough and our very own homemade pizza sauce! Then each kiddo will get a chance to visit our topping bar to customize their pizza to their own individual liking. While we wait for our pizzas to bake, we’ll practice our knife skills (using our safety knives!) to cut up fruit. Then we’ll decorate homemade pre-baked sugar cookies with our homemade cream cheese frosting and their fruit of choice to make mini fruit pizzas for dessert.
  • Day Two: Burger Day!  Grilled Burgers & “Hamburger” Cupcakes
    • Let’s get grilling! On day two everyone will get a chance to form their very own burger patties and choose all of their favorite toppings. Then we’ll practice our knife skills again by cutting up some veggies and turning them into skewers for our side dish.  And it wouldn’t be burger day if we didn’t head out to the grill, where the kids can help Cortney grill up their burgers & veggie skewers.  For dessert we’ll decorate pre-made vanilla cupcakes with a brownie cut out and frostings to turn it into our own mini-burger cupcakes for dessert!
  • Day Three: Taco Day! Classic Beef Tacos & Cheesecake Tacos
    • It’s taco time! On our final day of camp we’ll be whipping up some classic beef tacos. The kids will learn how to cook ground beef and how to cut up ingredients for our kid-friendly salsa.  Then we’ll hit the taco bar to dress up our tacos with our favorite ingredients.  For dessert we’ll make cinnamon sugar taco shells that we’ll fill with our no-bake cheesecake filling and decorate our dessert tacos, from what else – the dessert taco bar!
